The Faculty of Earth Geosciences Engineering at ESPOL participated in the Ecuadorian Commission for UNESCO Geoparks in Quito, presenting updates on geopark projects and strengthening collaboration among academia, the public sector, and international organizations.

The Mining Program at FICT-ESPOL held a strategic meeting to strengthen its academic offerings, focusing on continuous improvement, curriculum updates, and alignment with the needs of the mining sector.

A working meeting was held to prepare a workshop on measuring learning outcomes and to coordinate a future external evaluation visit. During the meeting, methodologies, rubrics, and digital tools were presented to strengthen academic assessment and promote continuous improvement in educational quality assurance processes.

The Faculty of Geosciences Engineering and the Center for Continuing Education at ESPOL explored the possibility of incorporating digital micro-credentials at ESPOL to certify skills acquired in academic courses and events, aligning the educational program with international trends in flexible learning.

The new AEFICT board presented its work plan to the authorities of the Faculty of Geosciences Engineering at ESPOL, establishing coordination spaces to strengthen student participation, academic support, and well-being within the FICT community.

Graduates from the Master's of Civil Engineering Degree at FICT-ESPOL participated in a community outreach program on septic tank maintenance, disseminating information to prevent waterborne diseases and promote safe sanitation in the community.

As part of International Women's Day, women from the FICT at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral participated in a reflection session where they shared messages and recognized women who inspire their path in engineering.💜

A student from the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm will undertake a research internship at ESPOL’s School of Earth Sciences Engineering through the DAAD RISE Worldwide program, participating in projects on CO₂ capture technologies and advanced water treatment.

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FICT) at the Higher Polytechnic School of the Coast (ESPOL) hosted an academic visit from the State Technical University of Quevedo (UTE) to tour its Geotechnical, Construction, and Sanitary Engineering laboratories.The tour provided an opportunity to showcase specialized equipment and testing methods, as well as explore possibilities for academic cooperation and shared infrastructure use for research and practical training.

ESPOL's Master of Civil Engineering Degree, with a specialization in Construction and Sanitation, held academic meetings with the participation of its national and international professors as part of its strategic actions to advance toward international accreditation of the program.
