We proudly celebrate the 67th anniversary of ESPOL, Ecuador’s number one university—a history defined by innovation, research, and the training of leaders who are transforming the country. 🇪🇨✨
As part of this commemoration, faculty members who obtained the international iPEER certification—endorsed by the ILO and the UN—were recognized. This certification validates the pedagogical, scientific, and professional excellence of engineering educators worldwide. 🌍📚
This achievement is part of the EENTITLE project (Ecuadorian Engineering Educators' Capacity Development and Recognition), coordinated by ESPOL’s Center for Educational Research and Services (CISE).
Our members from the Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) were also part of this important achievement, reaffirming their commitment to educational quality and continuous improvement—hallmarks of the great polytechnic community. Among them are: Paola Romero Crespo, Ph.D.; Kenny Escobar Segovia, M.Sc.; Samantha Jiménez Oyola, Ph.D.; Johanna Zambrano Anchundia, M.Sc.; Maurizio Mulas, Ph.D.; Peter Olaya Carbo, M.Sc.; Rafael Cabrera García, M.Sc.; and Carola Gordillo Vera, M.Sc.
Additionally, our Dean, Ing. Paúl Carrión, Ph.D., was recognized as Best Professor in the area of Community Engagement, while Maribel Aguilar, M.Sc., International Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair at CIPAT ESPOL and Teaching Technician at FICT, received the award for Best Research Technician. 🏅
These achievements reflect the commitment, excellence, and passion for teaching that characterize the Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) and the entire polytechnic community.
