ESPOL Freshman Orientation | FICT Welcomes 144 New Students

PAO 2026 Newcomers Orientation

ESPOL’s Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) held an orientation day for incoming students of the First Regular Academic Period of 2026 who are enrolling in the Mining, Geology, Petroleum, and Civil Engineering programs.

A total of 144 students participated in this welcome and social event, organized with the goal of introducing freshmen to the academic community, its leadership, and the program coordinators for each major. During the session, attendees learned important information about their academic training, support services, and opportunities for student involvement within the school.

The event also served to introduce the student association (AEFICT), student chapters, and FICT clubs, promoting integration, collaborative work, and the enrichment of campus life. These initiatives aim to complement academic training through technical, scientific, and community engagement activities.

Through initiatives like this, FICT strengthens its support for new students and fosters a participatory university experience, in line with the well-rounded education promoted by ESPOL.
