On April 21, a in-person workshop focused on innovation indicators and the Polytechnic Research Workload (CTP) was held at ESPOL’s Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT). The event was organized by the Vice-Rectorate for R&D&I, in conjunction with the Dean’s Office for Research and the Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI).
The meeting brought together FICT researchers to discuss the criteria used to measure innovation within the university, as well as to review the distribution and recognition of workload in research activities. This forum facilitated a joint analysis of key aspects for strengthening academic and scientific management.
During the session, an exchange of ideas took place aimed at optimizing institutional processes related to research, contributing to the continuous improvement of evaluation and planning mechanisms. These actions help consolidate an academic environment that promotes scientific output and knowledge transfer.
The initiative directly benefits faculty researchers by fostering a better understanding and management of their activities, and strengthens the university’s role in generating innovation that impacts the productive sector and society.
