On March 20, Joselyne Solórzano, Ph.D. (c), Coordinator of the Geological Engineering program at the Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) of the ESPOL, received recognition for her scientific poster presented at the 2026 Doctoral Student Conference of the School of Mining and Energy at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), an event that brings together doctoral researchers to share the progress made during the academic year.
The conference, held in Madrid, included sessions for the presentation of scientific posters and dynamic thesis-pitch sessions, where participants presented the impact of their research to the academic community. This event promotes the exchange of knowledge, specialized feedback, and the visibility of projects under development within various fields of study.
The participation and recognition received demonstrate the contribution of doctoral research to strengthening scientific capabilities and generating knowledge with potential applications in academia and the productive sector. Such events help consolidate international collaboration networks and position academic work on the global stage.
