Electric Mobility - Regulations for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

The workshop titled “Electric Mobility—Regulations for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations” was held in Quito at the offices of the German development agency GIZ. This academic event focused on technical and scientific analysis of one of the key pillars of the energy transition. This invitation was issued by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, in conjunction with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation.

The event brought together representatives from universities and government agencies with the aim of compiling technical evidence on charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, promoting the strengthening of public policies, applied research, and inter-institutional coordination.

This meeting fostered the exchange of knowledge and experiences among strategic stakeholders, consolidating the role of academia in developing sustainable transportation solutions for the country.

The participation of institutions such as ESPOL, the University of Cuenca, and the Catholic University of Cuenca demonstrated the academic sector’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the development of clean technologies.
