On Wednesday, April 15, a meeting was held to approve the educational objectives of the Petroleum Engineering program in the Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT). The in-person meeting took place in the school’s conference room. The purpose of the session was to review the educational objectives based on suggestions provided by the advisory committee through a written consultation.
During the session, the faculty analyzed the program’s educational objectives, verifying their alignment with ESPOL’s institutional mission, as well as with the faculty’s and academic program’s guidelines. As a result of this process, the professors approved the objectives, marking a key step in the program’s academic strengthening.
Participants in the meeting included Acting Dean Kenny Escobar; program coordinator Cecibel Castillo; international accreditation coordinator Andrés Guzmán; and faculty members Freddy Carrión, Johanna Zambrano, and Danilo Arcentales. The activity helps ensure the quality and relevance of the professional training offered by the program, benefiting students and their future integration into the workforce.
