The Petroleum Engineering program at the Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) held its semester kickoff meeting for the first semester of the 2026 academic year, with the participation of faculty members and laboratory technicians. The meeting took place on April 23 as an in-person event in the school’s conference room, with the aim of reviewing the academic plan for the semester.
During the session, the learning outcomes implemented in the courses were analyzed, and the activities to be carried out during the semester were defined, including extracurricular initiatives. These actions aim to strengthen the educational process and ensure consistency between the academic content and the program’s objectives.
The session was led by the program coordinator, Cecibel Castillo, who presented the activities to be carried out during the term, in accordance with the indicators of the strategic institutional development plan and the EUR-ACE accreditation criteria. Additionally, suggestions were gathered from faculty members to promote the program and develop complementary initiatives.
