On May 29, the Petroleum Engineering program at ESPOL’s Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) held its Integration Day, an event designed to promote interaction among students and faculty at all academic levels. The event brought the program’s community together for an afternoon of fellowship marked by recreational activities, camaraderie, and active participation.
The initiative aimed to promote integration and strengthen bonds among students in the program through social and interactive activities that foster a sense of belonging and the development of a participatory and committed academic community.
During the event, the program coordinator, Cecibel Castillo, M.Sc., emphasized the importance of getting involved in the curricular and extracurricular activities organized by the program. She also invited students to join the student chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the program’s official group, which serve as channels for publicizing upcoming activities and opportunities for participation.
The participation of students and faculty from all levels of the program cemented the event as a space that fosters a sense of belonging and strengthens the bonds among the various members of the academic community.
