At FICT, we had the “Aja! moment” during our visit to the Science Park

¡Ajá! Park Visits FICT

The Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) welcomed young participants from the ¡Ajá! Science Park summer camp, a non-formal science education program run by ESPOL, to conduct hands-on workshops showcasing FICT’s academic offerings.

¡Ajá! aims to help young people learn through play and encourage them to explore on their own. To conclude the summer program, they took a guided tour of several FICT laboratories, with the goal of introducing the students to the faculty’s fields of study through dynamic workshops. Through these activities, the students gained hands-on experience with the work conducted in the laboratories, as well as learned about educational opportunities in fields related to earth sciences.

The visit reinforces FICT’s career promotion plan, an initiative that seeks to guide prospective students in choosing their professional training. These actions help strengthen the bond between academia and the community, promoting access to information about ESPOL’s academic offerings and their benefits for the country’s development.
