FICT is strengthening its academic and technical operations with a focus on teamwork

FICT is strengthening its academic management in collaboration with its technical support team

On April 8, 2026, the dean of the Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT), Paúl Carrión, Ph.D., led a follow-up meeting with the school’s technical support team, aimed at strengthening institutional coordination and the strategic contribution of academic support staff.

During the session, key issues for FICT management were addressed, including regulations for academic support staff, the production of scientific publications, a review of the institutional organizational chart, and an analysis of core functions: teaching, research, outreach, innovation, and management.

The fundamental role of the various types of technical staff—teaching, research, and laboratory—was highlighted as key players who sustain and enhance academic quality on multiple fronts.

Likewise, scientific output goals were reviewed, particularly in the area of graduate studies, identifying areas for improvement to strengthen institutional indicators.

The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of close and coordinated management, noting that the dean’s office, associate dean’s office, and program coordinators serve as open forums to support the achievement of objectives and enhance team performance.

The session concluded with a clear message, as Michael Jordan once said, “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.”

At FICT, every role matters. Every contribution counts.

And when we play as a team, we don't just compete—we make it to the top division.
