Victoria Rosado, an engineering technician at ESPOL’s Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT), successfully completed the ESPOL Bootcamp – Professional Certification in “Data-Driven Decisions Specialist,” which took place from August 2025 to March 2026 at the Gustavo Galindo campus. The graduation ceremony took place on April 17, 2026, marking the conclusion of an intensive training program aimed at strengthening skills in data analysis and evidence-based decision-making.
This program, part of the Data Foundations Program at Coding Bootcamps ESPOL, was offered as a scholarship program and benefited 221 participants nationwide. The training strengthened skills in data analytics, management, and visualization, as well as Business Intelligence and generative artificial intelligence, through the development of projects applied to real-world contexts using tools such as SQL, Python, and Power BI.
The involvement of professionals working on research projects strengthens the application of data-driven methodologies in technical and scientific fields, contributing to better planning, process optimization, and the generation of strategic information. Furthermore, this process has opened up opportunities to obtain international certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate and Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate, thereby developing professionals who are better equipped to address the country’s digital transformation challenges.
The initiative was developed by ESPOL, through Coding Bootcamps ESPOL, with the support of the Ministry of Telecommunications and the Information Society (MINTEL), as part of efforts aimed at expanding opportunities for advanced technology training. Programs of this kind reinforce the institution’s commitment to human talent development, innovation, and knowledge transfer for the benefit of the academic, productive, and public sectors.
