The Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) participated in the international conference “Technology Exchange in Oil and Gas Engineering 2026,” held from April 15 to 17 in Chengdu, China, at the Howard Johnson Agile Plaza Hotel. The event brought together researchers and professionals from the global oil sector for sessions that ran from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
At the event, Danilo Arcentales, Ph.D., a professor at FICT, presented an academic paper developed by students in ESPOL’s Master’s in Petroleum program, with the aim of disseminating research findings and strengthening the institution’s visibility in the field of oil and gas engineering. This participation helped position the university within international scientific and technological exchange forums.
During the conference, collaborative ties were established with researchers and specialists from various institutions, opening opportunities for joint projects, academic mobility, and knowledge transfer. These partnerships contribute to strengthening international networks and advancing applied research in the energy sector.
Participation in these types of events reinforces ESPOL’s commitment to academic excellence and internationalization, promoting the exchange of knowledge and the development of innovative solutions for industry.
