ESPOL’s Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) participated in the sixth edition of “Pares o Nones: A Scientific Break,” an event organized by ESPOL’s Office of Research to connect researchers, share findings, and generate new opportunities for collaboration. At this event, held on August 6, 2026, at the Center for Information Technology (CTI), the FICT was represented by 18 researchers, who presented 21 research projects.
The FICT participants showcased research at the event covering areas such as life sciences, health, and the environment; natural, physical, and exact sciences; and engineering and technology, reflecting the diversity of fields through which the Faculty contributes to the generation of knowledge. In addition to conducting research, the presenters are professors, technicians, and analysts at the Faculty.
FICT highlights the multidisciplinary and international nature of the research presented, which was developed in collaboration with partner institutions around the world. This collaboration allows for the integration of different perspectives and scientific capabilities to address challenges related to the Faculty’s areas of expertise.
In its sixth edition, “Pares o Nones” brought together 118 presenters and featured 79 posters. The event provided a space for researchers from different fields to learn about their peers’ work and explore opportunities for collaboration.
FICT’s participation in this event helps raise awareness of its researchers’ work and strengthen the connection between different fields of knowledge, in line with ESPOL’s commitment to promoting collaborative research that benefits society and fosters new opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation.
