The FICT launched the Epiroc FICT-ESPOL Corporate Chair, an initiative developed by the Mining Engineering program that aims to strengthen ties between academia and the mining industry. The event was held virtually via Zoom and brought together students, alumni, faculty members, and technical staff from the school.
The launch of the chair featured the participation of Kenny Escobar, M.Sc., acting dean of FICT, who highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between academia and industry to enrich the training of future professionals in the mining sector.
