The Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) is strengthening its international presence through an academic visit to Rey Juan Carlos University. The coordinator of the Geology Engineering program at FICT, Joselyne Solórzano, Ph.D. (c), held a working meeting with Francisco Javier Montalván, Ph.D., with the aim of promoting academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions.
During the meeting, opportunities were explored for the development of joint projects and the production of collaborative scientific publications. This partnership aims to enhance research in areas of mutual interest and foster the exchange of knowledge among faculty and researchers.
The initiative opens opportunities for FICT-ESPOL faculty, researchers, and students to participate in projects, internships, and other academic activities linked to the research group led by the Spanish university’s academic. This partnership contributes to strengthening scientific capabilities and consolidating international networks of academic cooperation. Furthermore, collaboration with international institutions drives the generation of knowledge with academic and professional impact, aligned with the institutional mission of promoting quality research and training human talent with a global vision.
