FICT and SIKA Ecuador Complete the Third Cohort of Their 2026 Academy

Closing Ceremony for the Third Cohort of the Sika Chair

ESPOL’s Faculty of Geosciences Engineering (FICT) and SIKA Ecuador held the closing ceremony for the third cohort of the SIKA Academy 2026 on August 7, 2026. The event recognized the participation of the students, instructors, and organizers who took part in this technical training initiative.

The SIKA Academy is a complementary training program that strengthens the link between academia and industry. During this cohort, students expanded their knowledge of innovation, technologies, and solutions applied to the construction sector through sessions led by specialists from SIKA Ecuador.

The ceremony included the participation of FICT officials and representatives from SIKA Ecuador, as well as the screening of a commemorative video. As part of the closing ceremony, certificates were awarded to instructors, organizers, and the 12 students who successfully completed the program.

This collaboration allowed the students’ academic training to be complemented with knowledge relevant to the industry’s current needs. It also reaffirms the commitment of ESPOL and SIKA Ecuador to creating opportunities for exchange and knowledge transfer to prepare future professionals.
